About the Wish Kids Golf Classic

After several years of supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Vermont, agents of Co-operative Insurance Companies started the Wish Kids Golf Classic in 2001. That first tournament raised just over $2,100 for the cause.

Each year, we draw more players, sponsors and funds for Make-A-Wish Foundation®. The 2011 Classic at the beautiful Country Club of Barre generated $24,000, putting our 11-year total over $164,000.

The 2011 event again featured prizes for accuracy, distance and holes-in-one. The putting contest offered a chance to show off skills. The day started with complimentary bagels and ended with a barbeque dinner. And the fun lasted on with our online auction, which ran on our Facebook page through July 12.
